I’m Karol Urban, CAS, MPSE—a re-recording mixer, sound designer, and sound supervisor. You may have heard my work on Loki, Echo, Gentefied, and The Stand. My job is simple and exacting: protect performance, clarify intention, and shape emotion so the audience feels the story before they think it. I listen—to actors, to directors, to the picture, and to the quiet between words—and then build the sonic architecture that carries their meaning.

I’m at my best shoulder-to-shoulder with filmmakers, translating creative notes into practical choices: what to feature, what to imply, what to leave unsaid.

For studios and platforms, I’m a dependable closer. I run efficient rooms, respect budgets and calendars, and deliver precisely to spec.

For the community, I’ve served as President of the Cinema Audio Society and sit on the EIPMA, CAS, and Motion Picture Editors Guild boards; I mentor emerging talent through panels and classrooms.
